Negative Feedback
– Negative feedback is the process whereby a portion of the output voltage of an amplifier is returned to the input with a phase angle that opposes (i.e. subtracts from) the input signal.
– We use this to make the gain more realistic (i.e. not thousands!!) so that the output is not driven into saturation.
– Feedback helps to control the gain.
