Agricultural pests are some of the most common problems farmers usually face. Majority of these insects mainly feed on farm crops while others are parasites on livestock, such as a codling moth on an apple, thus only making them threats in the eyes of hardworking farmers. Fortunately, a few electronic device companies have made research and development efforts just to design and manufacture devices for supporting pest control, and indeed they have made such products successfully.

Electronic pest control devices are basically divided into two types: electromagnetic and ultrasonic. An electromagnetic pest control device may generate electromagnetic fields that cause certain pests to run away hastily. An ultrasonic pest control device, on the other hand, works by emitting short wavelength, high-frequency sound waves that are too high in pitch to be heard by particular insects, therefore causing them to race back to their places.
